Jon Ray – Founder

PaintGreen was founded by Jon Ray, who has been painting since 1996. Jon ran a student painting franchise while going to business school at Seattle Pacific University. During this time, he learned that providing quality work and operating in an environment of integrity earned him referrals, was a great way to grow a business, and matched his personal values.
After a few years in Phoenix, AZ, Jon came to San Diego and realized there was an opportunity for an environmentally-friendly painting company. He founded PaintGreen in 2006.
In an industry where unethical behavior is far too common, Jon built PaintGreen in what he likes to call “an environment of integrity.” Customers receive high-quality painting for a fair price. Painters receive fair compensation and respect on the job. Suppliers get honest dealings.
Chad Flood – General Manager

Chad Flood, a native San Diegan, was brought on as a part-owner in 2012. Hired in 2009 as an Estimator, he showed exemplary service to our customers, quickly earned the respect of the PaintGreen team, and helped grow the business.
Chad has a talent for helping customers with color. Certified as a Color Expert, he receives compliment upon compliment on social sites like Yelp.com, AngiesList.com and Facebook for delighting customers with their color choices.
Shortly after taking over as General Manager, Chad and Ashley were married in 2012.
Ashley Flood – Office Manager

Ashley Flood keeps us organized behind the scenes. She has helped us convert to a mostly paperless office, manages our organizational processes, and brings a level headed perspective to our management team.
Ashley is also the first point of contact for most of our new customers. She is the cheerful voice that answers our phones and schedules our new appointments.

Bill Flowers – Production Manager

With over 20 years of experience, Bill brings a vast experience and knowledge of painting systems to our PaintGreen team. He creates a strong level of order in our day-to-day activities, and easily earns the respect of those around him.
Always looking for improvement, Bill spends much of his time working with and training our painters and inspiring them to do their best every day.
Ryan Guttman – Estimator

Ryan was professionally trained in paint systems by a large paint manufacturer before joining PaintGreen. He brings extensive knowledge of the painting process, solutions to paint failure, and estimating to the PaintGreen team.
In addition, Ryan is a certified color expert.. He has received many compliments from our customers on his ability to help choose tasteful colors for their homes.
A perfectionist by nature, Ryan is thorough and careful in his work, and follows through on his word. Ryan is extremely resourceful, trustworthy, and knows at least a little about almost everything.
Painters
Our team members are chosen for their motivation, integrity and painting skills. Our painters are uniformed professionals who show up on time and work hard all day. Our clients agree that our painters are courteous and considerate of their needs (you can confirm on Yelp, Kudzu, and Angie’s List).
We paint around your schedule, taking into account things like pets, children’s nap time, and more. We are careful around flowers and plants, and protect your floors and furniture with drop cloths wherever we are painting.
